Teaching Philosophy:
There’s nothing to it but to do it. The musician that knows everything about their instrument but never picks it up will always pale in comparison to the musician who has no words to describe what they’re playing but spends all of their time with their instrument in their hands. I hope to teach my students the things that they need to know in order to effectively communicate their ideas and understand the music that they are playing but more importantly, I love to instill a deep connection to the instrument and to music that will truly make the student into a musician. I truly want each and every student to truly enjoy playing because that love of playing will see them through all musical challenges that they will face.
