House Band FAQ:
What does it cost to be in House Band?
House Band is $54 per week and rehearsals are 90 minutes each.
Can I be in Rock Band and House Band?
You can, but we highly discourage it. House Band will keep you busy!
Is there a contract or commitment?
Yes. House Band members will sign a contract stating that they will not leave the band during the season without penalty. The season starts in May 2022 and ends in July 2023.
When does House Band officially begin?
The first meeting for all band members and parents will be on Tuesday May 31st from 5:00-6:00pm. There is no charge for this meeting. Band members will also meet again the following week on Tuesday June 7 from 4:30-6:00pm.
How is House Band different than Rock Band?
Rock Band is a 60 minute lesson which includes instruction from the teachers. House Band is a 90 minute band rehearsal where students are expected to learn the material on their own before rehearsals begin. Rock Band students perform twice per semester at the Rock Band concerts while House Band students play live shows all year round.
Are there any other requirements I need to know about?
First-year members are required to take a private lesson to help them get acclimated to being in the House Band. RnRHS will reserve private lesson slots for the House Band members.

About Us
The Rock 'N Roll High School House Band program was formed in May 2016 and consists of the top musicians in our school.
It is our goal to teach these young professionals what it's like to be in a real working band--everything from wrapping cables to being consistent and reliable performers. We value work ethic, ambition, band dynamics, and really using your ear to sound solid as a group. They are managed by Jill Pullen, a graduate of Hollywood’s top music school, the Musician’s Institute.
This year's House Band, also known as The Insomniacs, is a 5-piece rock cover band. They play everything from classic rock favorites to 80's & 90's alternative rock.
