Shavona Antionette


Shavona is a North Carolina native who grew up singing in various choirs and at events throughout her community. She began her musical journey at the age of 11 by representing her school for several years as a soloist in the Wake County Pieces of Gold Showcase. 


During her matriculation at The Lincoln University, PA a solo of Shavona singing “I Know I’ve Been Changed”  arranged by Dr. Damon Dandridge went viral. It was shared on The Shade Room as well as by many influencers including Eric Campbell, Tina Knowles, and Jesse Williams. Her solo was also sampled on a song by Gucci Mane featuring Big Sean entitled “Changed”. 


One of her passions is recording and vocal arranging. While she has music yet to be released, Shavona has done studio work with Black Thought, King Mez and many more. She not only enjoys leading but also singing background and helping the visions of others come to life; having backed Gene Chandler and artists on the southern soul circuit.


Shavona’s main gig is singing with her church family and performing with the wedding band "Night Years". She can also be seen singing with Liquid Pleasure and other bands within the East Coast Entertainment Group. Shavona also performs as a solo artist and has opened for amazing creatives such as Samoht. In her spare time she loves to write music and play her guitar. 


Her plethora of musical experiences in gospel, classical music, jazz and soul music make her a versatile instructor. She takes pride in nurturing the talents of her students and seeing them accomplish their creative goals. Shavona is excited to join the Rock ‘n Roll Highschool family and helping her students shine!
