Lindsey Godwin
Singing since she could remember, Linz (Lindsey) Karjanis Godwin, of Japanese and Coharie descent, is from a small town outside of Raleigh. Linz grew up listening to every genre one could possibly think of but mostly Rock, Blues, and Country. At the age of 11, she showed a deep interest in performing and writing music. Once she began pursuing her passions, she soon realized that she loves sharing this passion through teaching right here at RNRHS!
Linz was a student of Jill Pullen, here at RNRHS beginning in 2015. She later became a member of the Roll High School house-bands, where in 2019, as the lead signer of “Poison Arrow” they won the Kids Music Competition, which showcased the best youth bands in the Triangle! Linz also took home best over all platinum vocalist in the Triangle area that year!
Linz’s band “The Cherry Velvet” has performed throughout Raleigh, and she is also occasionally a vocalist for the band, Bender Street, and now is also the lead singer of the band “Le Lotus” so you can always catch Linz performing in and around the Triangle!
